SNCF TGV Sud-Est

One of my final projects while at university. Modeling trains turned out to be deceptively complex, but a lot of the extra effort in the modeling process turned the texturing process into fairly straightforward tasks - this is my first time using multiple texture maps to achieve clean looks across the model.

My final pass for the third week was to achieve believable texture and normal detail on the low resolution mesh.

A link to the model on Sketchfab. Updated periodically throughout the modeling process.

The low-resolution pass for Week 2. I reduced countless elements down to their primary forms, and deleted a lot of faces covered up by other parts.

Week 1's assignment was to model a high resolution pass for baking purposes.

My Reference Image Collection, used during the modeling process. The bogey blueprint is not the proper design, but was used to measure the general proportion of parts.
